Specific Question

Does surface type affect tape adhesion?

Hypothesis

It is hypothesized that metal will have they strongest adhesion.

Variables

Independent Variable:

Surface type

Dependent Variable:

Tape adhesion

Variables That Need To Be Controlled:

Type of tape amounts of tape temperature in room

Vocabulary List That Needs Explanation

General Plan

Tape will be tested on three different surface types then put on a force censer and tested to see how much tape can hold before it lets go.

Potential Problems And Solutions

What could go wrong with this experiment is it could not stick right.

Detailed Procedure

1 step you have to gather all your materials you will need masking tape, wood serface, metal surface, plastic surface, lap quest and a force sensor. You would have to put the tap on the force sensor and put it on your surface then when you stick the tap on watever surface you choose you have to rip it off so the lap quest can record it. You test each material five times to see the diffrence. After you test all three of them five times you save the things you tested so you havee the recodings and so you no what the diffrence sorces are.

Data Analysis

Conclusion

Yes the surface type affects the tape adhesion because when I used different three different sources and i tested each one five times after testing all of them i figured out that each time you test the same object it turns out a little differently and that they all have there own source.
